Job Description:

Overview of the Role:

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) invites applications for recruitment to the post of Junior Clerk (BS-11) on a regular basis in the Board of Revenue, Punjab, stationed at the Deputy Commissioner Office, Kot Addu. Junior Clerks play a vital role in maintaining office records, digital data entry, official correspondence, and administrative workflow within district administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • File & Record Management: Indexing, maintaining, and archiving revenue and administrative case files.
  • Data Entry & Computer Tasks: Typing official letters, drafting notifications, and entering district data using MS Office.
  • Correspondence: Handling incoming/outgoing official mail and diary/dispatch registers.
  • Public & Branch Coordination: Assisting senior officials, Assistants, and Superintendents in day-to-day administrative operations.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualification: Higher Secondary School Certificate (Intermediate / FA / FSc / ICS / I.Com) or equivalent qualification (2nd Division) from a recognized board.
  • Computer Skills: Speed of 30 words per minute in English typing on computer. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Age Limit: 18 to 25 years (plus general age relaxation permitted under Punjab Government rules).
  • Gender: Male, Female, and Transgender candidates.
  • Domicile: Punjab (with preference given to candidates from Kot Addu / District Muzaffargarh as per domicile rules).

PPSC Selection & Examination Pattern:

Written Test (100 Marks MCQ – 90 Minutes):

i) General ability including, (80%)(Approximately)
General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current
Affairs, Islamic Studies (General Knowledge for
Non-Muslim candidates), Geography, Basic
Mathematics, English, Urdu and Everyday Science
ii) Question relating to (20%)(Approximately)
M.S Office and Computer skills:
Note:
Only those candidates will be called for typing and
proficiency test who qualify the General Ability Test.

Prescribed Qualification / Experience

i) Higher Secondary School Certificate (2nd division) from a recognized
Board:
ii) Aspeed of 25 Words Per Minute of typing on Computer in English; and

and he/she shall demonstrate such proficiency.

Syllabus

One paper of MCQ type written test of 100 marks and
90 minutes duration. Syllabus is as under:-
